£150 in ASDA!!!

    I was surprise to walk in my local Asda today and see the Acer Aspire One (150-Ab, Blue, 120Gb, 512mb Ram, Linux Version) for just £150! A bargain if you ask me, shame i already got mine for dabs a while back but for any one still thinking about getting one and you can find one in Asda, get it now!

    yep there seems to be plenty about too, we have a 72 post / 1400 view thread on a forum that i'm admin for about this deal. Loads more users should be signing up to this forum as a result of asda cutting the price (I keep directing people here for help/info!) Seems like a fair number of them are the 160GB model too !

    Seen that too. I was quite amazed. I am tempted to buy one, make an upgrade of some sort (RAM or add a peripheral) and resell it at profit on Ebay! Wouldn't probably get more than a few quid profit though

    hi amigang i got asda 150 blue 160gb hard drive 512 ram what doyou get battery life i only get about 2 hours is thi sabout right please

    Got mine last thursday. I too got a blue 160gb even though the box said 120gb. Upgraded the RAM on Monday, not that I really needed too (for £10, why not eh?)

    Currently running Windows 7 very well.

    I get nearly 3hrs of use with the 3 cell battery, However this is only when the screen is dim down to the max and sound is off and this is running linux, where as I think Windows use a bit more juice, simple because its more hard drive active than linux.

    I got the last one in stock at our local ASDA

    only 2 downers
    1. it's 'ONLY' the 120GB one
    2. it's not for me it's for my brother in law (he's paying me back)

    it's actually the 2nd AAO I've bought the 1st was a SSD/512MB/Linpus for 185 from comet... unfortunately that wasn't for me either, was for my wife's friend... had fun getting the mobile internet working on it... she's bring it back so I can sort the mobile internet again now 'mobile partner' is on

    Got one on thursday(160 version). I have been looking at netbooks for a while and decided that I couldn't pass at that price.

    Looks like they've run out now. My local branch (Ipswich) is out and there's no plans for any more. :(
