Tesco have cut their prices by £20 they base model is now £179. I am not sure but I think they offer free delivery. I am going to check in store to see if the prices are the same.

Now Amazon UK are offering the 3-cell basic model for £179, with free delivery. I am wondering whether they are trying to clear them because the 6-cell models are arriving soon. I am so tempted to "buy with one click", but I would kick myself if the 6-battery models came out shortly afterwards, as that is what I really want.

A colleague could get me a 15% discount from John Lewis: their basic model price is £219 so if I chose this option it would cost me £7 more than if I bought from Amazon. But I would get a free 2 year warranty and very good customer service. I am going crazy trying to decide what to do. I really do want the 6-cell model, but I don't want to wait months. I want the best price going: I just wish that John Lewis would come into line with other sellers then the discount really would save me money.

I don't want to be the person who never buys anything because they are always waiting for a better model and a better deal.

Are 6-cells not available in the UK? I thought they were getting newer models faster than the US, but the 6-cell seems to be in good supply here.

Not ATM. 6-cell may never be on sale in UK...

Tesco also is selling A110-Aw for £179 - just got back from shopping...

Even better than £179 - I've just ordered one for my daughter - after vouchers/cash back it's the equivalent of £155 !!!

    Starting point £179
    - Minus voucher (mentioned in earlier post) £9
    - Automatically receive a Tesco e-voucher for £10 (as order is >£100)
    - Quidco cashback of 3% is another £5 off
    - Free delivery to local Tesco store

Absolute bargain for £155 - I'm not happy though - I paid £195 a month ago for mine

I have been trying to get a cheap eeepc 701 and couldn't even get one for this price

Full details of offer in http://www.hotdealsuk.com

You can get the 100L Blue from Dixons.co.uk for £170 with free delivery.
If you use the code VAT3 the price drops drop to £165 still with the free delivery.

I'm still looking for a sub £160 aspire one, but as far as I can see £165 is the cheapest you can get with delivery and without masses of hassle.

Check out the sales in the stores! I was in Currys today and saw they were doing the white AAO for £159.97! Had to have one at that price, but they had sold out - but the guy sold me the demonstration model for a £20 discount - £139.97. Full 12 month warrenty included!

Just getting to grips with it now. Lovely little netbook! They also had the blue but at £175. Now I prefer the blue colour, but not enough to spend an extra £35. Looking forward to getting to know this thing - just waiting for Live Update to finish.
