Hello everyone... i have done the memory upgrade and HDD upgrade also based on info on this forum, very nice i must say! but after the hdd upgrade i was left with the 8 GB SSD lying around so i bought an 1.8" hdd ZIF enclosure...with info from the seller that Hitachi and Toshiba drives would work with it.... after i receive it, i mounted the SSD in the case with the cable zif it brought (and standard one it seems) but i wont work...i already tried the Toshiba drive and with the ZIF cable the AAO has...but nothing works...both drives detect when plugged in the AAO directly to the ZIF connector... anyone has any ideas? i'm out...i even thought a flipped cable could work but i don't want to spend more money if its just a guess.... it could be the enclosure that its broken as well but since the LED lights up (power led prolly so not really sure) i dont know Update : Forgot to say the HDD enclosure is Hitachi branded... and since Hitachi drives need a flip cable maybe this enclosure requires a flip cable for toshiba and other brands? (is had a straight cable as default)
