1080P HD video playback on AAO 150

    kmplayer, mplayer, or any other player which supports external codecs
    download or buy coreavc codec and set the codec as external codec to decode vc-1 and h.264 videos.

    720P video below 5mbps will play smooth as butter

    I played two streams of 720p 24fps, 4.2.2, 100 Mbps (DVCPRO HD) smootlhy, without drop frames, directly from a P2 car on Panasonic HVX200 via USB.

    I edit short HD video, with transitions, audio, graphics, and played back in real time.
    Acer Aspire ONE 150
    160 Gb HD
    1 Gb RAM
    22" LG, LCD External display
    150 Gb USB HD Wester Digital Passport

    Of course, not Windows...
    Leopard 10.5.5 (iATKOS 5)
    Voodoo Kernel
    Final Cut 6
    Quicktime pro

    But I can`t played back a mpg4 HD video 720p. with VLC.
    rule of tumb: more compression, small file size, more CPU Power, low speed bus data transfer.
    Less compression, huge file sizes, less CPU Power, hi speed of data transfer.
