120gb hdd size???

    i just got a shiny new aa1 delivered today £168 delivered from oyyy.co.uk

    it was supposed to be 120gb hd version, but the hd thats in it is 152gb
    is this normal or have i got lucky and been given the 160gb version?

    says 120gb on the label on the box to :eek:

    Lots of people that picked up their AA1 from Asda when the price first dropped (£150 around 3-4 months ago) found that on the box it stated 120Gb, however they also had 160Gb drives installed.

    Can only assume that they ran out of 120's, or that 160's were cheaper at the time (manufacturers will usually order whatever is chespest at the time, so basically you got a bonus!!)

    I just picked up my new AA1 and it was supposed to have 1 GB of system memory but it actually has 1.5 GB of memory installed. Says 1 GB on the box too. I disassembled it before checking in Control Panel but the system booard has the normal 512 MB and it has a 1 GB DDR2 in the slot.

    Runs WinXP pretty good with the extra half gig. It's a shame the processor can't take more than 2 GB as this configuration limits the actual amount it can be upgraded to at 1.5 GB since it has the 512 on the main board. Unless the 512 MB can be unsoldered.
