I purchased my AA1 from Circuit City on Jan. 1st 2009. It was on sale and listed as 120gb. Before I purchased it I did my normal geeky stuff and checked out the specs. I found it has the 160gb HD and told the guy and he said, no it doesn't lol. When I registered it with Acer the SN also says 120GB.

    Anyone else run into this?

Yep totally normal mate, think the majority off us have 160GB acer aspire ones that are stated as having 120GB. strangely enough when I phoned acer on another matter I asked if they could confirm what size off drive I had fitted to mine, they asked for the serial number and then advised me it was a 120GB model even though I knew it was like so many others a 160GB version :)

Look at it as a little exra for free :D

well, the bummer about that is any warrantee work would probably result in a 120gb replacement :(

I suppose I should have searched this ? but I didn't think it would be so normal lol
