Just got my 10 inch D150 which came with a 5800maH 6 cell battery. Fully charged it, pulled out the mains lead and it said 'time remaining 16:06 hours'
After 5 minute's of using the hard drive it went down to 10 hours. Still very respectable I think.

10 hours is pretty good. I get around 8:-9: estimated on full charge battery.

Wonder what they would get when I install an SSD in this thing

plug the fully charged battery into my 8.9 inch AAO and it says 5 hours 58 minutes. I wonder if someone is lying or is the N280 chipset realy that better than the N270 stuff.

I can take a video of notebook hardware control showing the hours.

The LED screen helps a lot. Does the 8.9 have LED or CCFL?

The battery indicator isn't very accurate. Fully charged my indicator will show 10-12 hours, but I usually end up getting somewhere between 6-7 hours (I have timed my actual use a few times).

As the battery drains, it starts to get more accurate and you see the time adjust accordingly.

So after an hour of use from a full charge, the indicator drops to around 6 hours left on the battery instead of 9-11 hours based on the initial power reading.

The 8.9" AA1 also have LED Back Light LCD as 10" model.

The time left on a battery is calculated based upon the power usage of the computer over the past few battery samples. If you check it right after startup, you may only see 4+ hours remaining. Check it again after letting it just sit for one minute, and mine jumps up to 7+ hours left.

I get an actual 6+ hours of usage, mostly web surfing and watching streamed vids.
