I tried it with my previous Kalyway install and it didn't work (don't remember what threshold value I used though). I'll give it a try with my iATKOS install. Thanks for the info.

OK, tried it tonight and it didn't work. Could it be that my trackpad is from another manufacturer than yours and therefore doesn't work with this scroll driver? Anyway I don't get finger-scrolling (neigher 2- nor 1-finger), and moreover my System Preferences>Keyboard & Mouse don't show up anymore (It says "Loading Keyboard & Mouse" at the top and sits there)... :(

Can you explain in more detail how you got it to work, what distro you're using (Kalyway? iATKOS? MSIWindOSX?) and what model of the One you own (mine is A110-Aw).

I lost Mouse and Keyboard control panel too, says Loading but doesn´t load.

SBM, i have same problems. Do you find how to solve mouse&keyboard control panel?

Haven't tried anything yet, I'm waiting for the OP to tell us how he got it to work.

If you wanna try de-installing the stuff, there's a de-installer in the 2fingerscroll archive, IIRC. Tell me if it works.

I am iATKOSv4, and I followed the directions in the thread at insanelymac. After step 6, my trackpad was so crazy it was unusable, so I plugged in a usb mouse. Then I started adjusting the zAcceptThreshold under the SynapticsPreferences, and then also the speed settings in the mouse control panel. it works pretty good.

Not as well as on a real mac, mainly cause the trackpad is sooo small, but I can put my finger on the trackpad sideways, and roll it like I am giving a fingerprint, and scroll works fine.

Can you point us to this thread, please, so that we can check what they did different than me and change my installation procedure accordingly? Thanks!

Oh yeah OK, I thought you were talking about a topic to install iATKOS.

I really don't understand why it doesn't work for us then... weird... Did you do anything different than me to install iATKOS_4i release?

Has anyone had success with this? I tried it... loads fine but doesn't seem to scroll at all. I tried 800, 600 and 130 as parameters... nothing. I can navigate the cursor as usual, but no scrolling.

For me trackpad scrolling is a dealbreaker in using OSX on the One. Kind of defeats the purpose of portability if you have to attach a mouse, and not being able to scroll (even with one finger) makes using your app's tedious. I'm surprised this topic isn't discussed more in this section... I think it's more important than speedstep, sleep etc.

ok, I got this working. The magic zAcceptThreshold value is 60. Scrolling works with this value, but it is slightly quirky. I find that you can 2-finger scroll if you want to zip to the bottom of a large document or page, but it works best if you sort of "roll" your finger slowly like you are giving a fingerprint sample (almost like you would use one of those nipple pointers on an IBM laptop). It's kind of hard to describe without trying.

Once you figure it out, it's usable. There are other values to edit in that plist file that might make it work better... I guess some trial and error is in order.

can we somehow pull this off in windows? i imagine somewhere in the registry synaptics has some sort of setting for two-finger scroll we can enable and setting the zAcceptThreshold we can simulate two finger scrolling. after all the eee pc 901 has a multi touch trackpad that enables this by default using the same synaptic drivers we can use

I just install and finally make it work. But still have some problem.

If I set the FFScrollDaemon to autorun, the 2FS become crazy, need to kill and restart the FFScrollDaemon form the Terminal to make it work. Strange!!

I already try other ZAccpetThreshold number, the 2FS will have respone under Threshold 75, but just scroll crazy (Scrolling up and down itself). But everything will be fine after restart the daemon manually.

    BTW: My ZAcceptThreshold is 60

Ya, I've been playing with it as well and would like to revert. I didn't backup my Extensions before... can someone help me figure out how to get back to the stock touchpad ext/settings? Thanks.

Edit: Sorry for the newbie question. I went ahead and reinstalled the kext files and I'm back.
