    Hi all,

It's seems there is a huge disinformation about the A150X 120/160 GB with 3 cells battery !!!

While some say 995g other claim 1.2kg
Is the HDD itself weight more than the SSD ?
Is the disinformation flowing because people connection (by mistake) the 150x automatically to the 6 cells battery?

Please inform me how mach the 3 cells 150 x weights
    Thanks !!!
    Nir

the ssd one with 3 cell is 995 grams
and hdd is a lot bigger than hdd and thicker and made of metal. the ssd is a pcb with 4 chips on it
so 1.2kg is a good bet for hdd version with 3 cell

I'm pretty sure 1.2 kg is the 6 cell battery model. The HDD does weigh more than the SSD, but I don't think it is much more probably a little over 1 kg.

Amazon wrote 1.24kg for the 3 cells with 160 HDD, The Acer website didn't mention at all the A150x model weight.

    so what's the answer

If it is important to you then get yourself a scale (buying from wal-mart and returning if not satisfied is something my ex does a lot) and then go to a store that has one version and weigh it. Then go to a store that has the other version and weigh it. It seems it is not important to Acer or the stores unless it affects the shipping weight so there is probably no other way to know for sure. If you do then you could post the answer for others to see. However! due to the different component makers and such you may find that what you post is not the same in all instances.

Here's the answer. (sheesh people, if you don't know, don't speculate...)

    SSD 3 cell : 0.995 kg (call it 1.0)
    HDD 3 cell : 1.06 kg (call it 1.1)
    HDD 6 cell : 1.24 kg (call it 1.2)

The confusion originates from people and stores taking the original published data for the Aspire One (which was the SSD model, and 1 kg) and applying it to later models that were, in fact, a little heavier.
