    Hi all.

I'm holidaying in Orlando later this year an d i am bringing my AAO with me, partially to upload pics to ease the load on my camera, but also for web-browsing. In the UK i have a THREE 3G dongle for out on the move, but i'm led to believe this won't work in USA, is this the case? If so is there good free wifi access in and around Orlando, not just in coffee shops etc , where i could get online briefly? Anyone know?

    cheers guys

Please report if your THREE 3G dongle works in USA and what kind of charges/cost it takes to use it in USA. I have been looking for cheaper ways to use 3g or some waht to at least check my e-mail when on the road...in USA. Best I can find so far it if $40 a month and no contract as seen on this page
    http://www.mycricket.com/broadband/
Which is about $35 more then I'm willing to pay to check my e-mail maybe twice a day a couple times a week.

If you have a Verizon phone a good number of them can be used to tether via Bluetooth or the charging cable (if its USB). All the phones I've had from them only required something to be enabled in a programming menu so nothing big really. It is *technically* a breach of contract when you do it, but I've never known anyone to get hit with any charges as long as you have the VCast package on your phone (unlimited EVDO data) because Verizon sees it as your phone just accessing the internet or VCast. But be warned I guess. Other than that it's great and free! Typically download speeds are about 100KB/s-120KB/s.

Coffee shops are going to be your best bet, but I'd bet your hotel has free wifi. Tourism is big in Orlando and the hotels compete for the disney world visitors. More amenities=more guests.

Many many cafe's such as Panera Bread Company, Atlanta Bread company, and a lot of local shops have free WiFi, and also a great majority of hotels, motels, and even small rentals have free WiFi.

Also this, by no means, is complete but it does give you some information.

Finally just click on search wireless as many places have open routers.

One clue is if you see linksys as the ssid.
