    Does it have a mPCIe connector and a sim reader?

    If it does, then you can install a 3G card.

    Well Ashram if we are still on to add your Sim Reader this Friday, then I should be able to post a "how to add a sim reader to the D250" soon after Friday.

    The EU850D should work also.

    We're still on. Will drop off the d250, power(if needed) and 3 different sim readers!
    Hopefully everything goes great!

    word of advice for everyone with a d250... if you plan to add 3g... DO NOT UPGRADE THE BIOS! if you do, you'll have to tape pin 20 on the card :( and downgrading did not fix it for me.

    We added a Sim reader to Ashram's D250.

    Very straight forward installation since the Sim reader pinouts match the motherboard pinouts.

    Used a Molex part number 0475530001 sim reader.

    There are seven solder pads on the motherboard, the first one is not used. it is marked "7". The Sim reader is taped in two places to prevent shorts with the motherboard. The Sim reader housing is secured by soldering using the two solder pads in the corner near the sim slot. (Only the right side motherboard solder pad securing the sim reader is visable in the picture, top right side of sim reader).

    The 3G card operated fine with an external antenna, and pin 20 of the card taped. It would appear that only bios version 1.02 supported switching the 3G card on and off with the WiFi switch.

    Great work guys and thank you!

    I have ordered a sample of the part number you specified. Hopefully I'll be able to utilise it at some stage, however I'll probably wait until the warranty runs out as I am currently using shared internet via wifi and my Nokia.

    I'll make sure I put this in my archive for future use :)

    something you need to know... to make life simple, the heat sink/cooling setup has to be removed.

    D250 Pinout. Works for me.

    Correct order:
    4 = VCC
    2 = GND
    1 = RST
    5 = VPP
    3 = CLK
    6 = I/O

    Pin 7 not used
