I saw that there is a slot behind the battery that seems fit the sim card, but it was covered up, I heard that Acer said that they will enable the support for USB 3G modems for current linux version aa1 in weeks. Is there any possibility to install the 3G module in the future?

Theoretically yes - but Acer seems to have left out a bracket, meaning soldering or some other use of tools would be required :(

Hi. Any idea when or if I'll be able to use a dongle modem on my Linux version? it's completely useless to me without one

There is modification available. You can install 3G modem and SIM card holder to AA1. For details search this forum. There are two threads regarding missing components and fitting 3G unit...

Still looking to buy one (well one of the many trying to get hold of one of the 512mb 160gb Linux ones from Adsa LOL)

Anyway whilst trying to work out the many different versions I came across these SKUs

    LU.S460B.003 A150-3G ATOM/N270 160GB 1GB 8.9 WEBCAM XPH PINK 3G EN
    LU.S080B.051 A150-3G ATOM/N270 160GB 1GB 8.9 WEBCOM XPH WHITE 3G EN
    LU.S090B.047 A150-3G ATOM/N270 160GB 1GB 8.9 WEBCAM XPH BLUE 3G EN
    LU.S400B.045 A150-3G ATOM/N270 160GB 1GB 8.9 WEBCAM XPH BROWN 3G EN

All appear to have 3G built in?

Bit pricey though as appear to be XP ones and command about £340 for the pink one to a hefty £379 for the brown one :(
