I just verified with a disassembled AAO. There is two chips (one on each board) which clearly read JMB385.

Where are the chips located? Is it on the back or the front of the PCBs?

That's a good idea, if JMB385 is connected to those 4 pins directly. I tried searching for the pinout but failed. Maybe the datasheet can be obtained from JMicron.
