3rd aspire one and dont want it!!!!!

I have no Acer logo at all. After Power'On all I get is a black screen. Is this theory with reflash BIOS going to work for me.... What can be wrong... I lost my patience when Norton AV won´t let me reboot my AA1 due to some script files I was working on and I had removed the battery. Looks like some basic test on power off was not done by ACER on AA1 and the result is a total screwup of the machine.

 

I know from experience that losing data can be a real pain... but, you *should* have your data backed up. Really, there is no excuse for not doing it. Especially on a laptop which is likely to get stolen, lost, or suffer some kind of accident.

It's about as cheap as a good cellphone, it's also light and small enough to carry with you most of the time. As such it's about as likely to have something bad happen to it as any other mobile device.

...but I do feel for you. Having your new gadget break multiple times and losing data on top of that is really frustrating .

 

I always keep all my documents and important files on USB flash. Apart from keeping them safe I have always an opportunity to carry them between computers an easy way... Recently I bought even 16GB USB flash from Amazon - apart from documents I have always set of drivers available for Netbook (just in case)...

 

What kind of Flash Stick did you buy?

 

My Acer Aspire One has been shutting down since yesterday. I guess the fan never worked. I got it about 2 months ago and I will be shipping it hopefully this week sometime. The crappy thing is unlike other companies, I have to pack it and pay for the shipping myself. Hopefully I dont have to send it out again.

 

Mine is 3 months old, still working.
I already killed 3 times reformating because... i was bored, testing vista, windows 7 b6801, 6956, etc.
