    well, no one responded to my question on the buffalo 2.5 so I kept on looking for a 500. It has been released on Newegg:

    and its a 9.5. So it will fit. Happy joy joy.
    Hopefully I'll get it and put up a review on it.

    probably a better idea to get the WD5000BEVT instead, some pretty good benchmarks thus far for a 5400rpm drive.
