532 wont load windows 7

I turned on the computer and the acer screen comes up then it goes in to windows corp. screen as though it is trying to start windows. Then the hard disk light goes out and the screen goes blank but remains on. Acer service told me to reload the operating system with thier recovery disks. Any suggestion before I do that. I have tried to update the bios but it doesnt even turn the light on the memroy stick on?

 

You could always try tapping F8 while your machine is booting, when the black n white text menu pops up, choose the "Repair Your Computer" option, it might be able to fix your startup issues.

 

Thanks but I tried that and no dice. Acer service told me to reload the operating system. So I guess I'm going to loose all the software that I loaded.
