    It sounds like you are into the all-in-one Juke box type app. In this case I suggest Amarok:

    You can find it in the Fedora 8 repo. I personally prefer mpd:

    No, there are no problems in running a mixture of apps from different desktops environments. In fact you are already running a KDE applet- kpowersave.

    I just checked the Fedora package, Amarok is installed to /usr/bin. Are you sure it is installed? What is the output of:

    I like using songbird for playing music. I am using puppy linux ona a aao 120 gig hd, 1 mg ram. I have puppy linux and windows xp and use songbird on both.
