56k dialup modem

    Can anyone recommend a 56k USB modem that they know for sure works with the AA1 and Linpus Lite? TIA.

    It may sound archaic but there will be places Im staying over xmas/summer where there is no broadband and minimal mobile reception. 56K was OK for email and limited browsing so ...

    Does anyone know if the network manager can handle dial-up over POTS ?

    Are there any step-by-step instructions for getting a 56k modem to work on the linux aspire one? It's all greek to me. And I'd hate to have to install win on this machine, but it might come down to that.
