6cell 5800 mAh UM08B52 and A110L

I recently bought a 6cell 5800mAh Battery for my A110l hoping to overcome the miserable battery life. Unfortunately I have problems with this battery (blinking amber light while charging). I almost suspect the battery is not compatible with the A110l. Does anybody have such a battery with his A110l? If it doesn't work, are there any 6cell batteries (preferably with >4400mAh that do work?
