YES, after you go into the BIOS -

Put the USB Stick in a USB Slot BEFORE switching ON the computer...

Then as the Computer starts - watch the BLACK screen as you start the computer, on the bottom line it should say
Tap F2 (or Del or maybe some other key) to enter Set up (BIOS)

There should be a section called Boot Settings
In there should be a line called Boot device Priority
also a line called Hard Drives
and maybe a line called and or Boot Settings Configuration

In Boot Settings Configuration my Asus only gives one choice - to Enable/Disable Fastboot
this stops one from being able to see the Messages at Start up

if you don't get the chance to see the message Tap F2 key etc., then, as you switch on, immediately tap the F2 key then again a second later and again and again until you do enter set up...

If you do go into windows instead of Set up... try the above using the Del key...
    Once in Set up/BIOS

IF your USB STICK is in place,
in the Hard Disk drives selection there should be; your HDD (or Hard drive, maybe even some weird Code which is your HDD Part Number) below that it should NOW show your USB Stick... mine currently says USB - Kingston DT
there may be other selections too -
Typically Tap on the HDD and change it to (for me) USB Kingston DT
the second boot choice will now be Your HDD

Just check in Boot device Priority it should now show your USB Stick

Tap the F10 key then the Enter Key -- it will save your choice and restart...

This time, Booting to your USB stick.

Call back if there any problems
OR to say Thanks it Worked, please - too many posts just stop after we answer them
(so we never find out if our help was useful)
