Could you give some information on the kernel?
-Is it using ath5k or madwifi?
-Which version of ALSA is included?
-Does it include the memory stick card reader module?
-Does it only include support for the JMicron, or also for RICOH R5C8xx?

And or any other information. Thanks for the effort!

Is it possible to use this kernel with Mandriva 2009 to make it faster?

So, I'm hoping someone can help me with a couple issues I'm experiencing.

I installed a clean copy of Intrepid, ran through the SSD wear stuff, a couple other tweaks, install NBR, the whole bit. I also installed the aao kernel (linux-headers-2.6.27-rc6-v.8.3aaoaao_2.6.27-rc6-v.8.3aaoaao-10.00.Custom_i386 and the corresponding image file). However, there are two major issues with audio.

    1) I'm getting sound through both headphones and the internal speakers when headphones are plugged in, and
    2) I'm not getting signals in the mic. I get feedback, but nothing is captured. The mic was tested in Skype, and I'm not sure which option I should use for the "input" option, which may be causing the problem. Any ideas?

Edit: Right, I forgot to mention that I have model=acer in my alsa-base file. I know it's still broken, but I thought it was supposed to work with this kernel? Perhaps I'm wrong...
