If you search on ebay for "Aspire One Cell", you will find that there are many sellers currently, selling the 6 cell battery and also a *9 CELL* battery.

But these are all from sellers in China.

In the last year, I have been ripped off from China enough for things like mp3 players. They simply sell products that do not function as they should. After I bought my Aspire One, I bought a bag for it from a seller in China, and the bag turned out to be not even big enough to hold the AC adapter! So I've had enough. Yet I'm tempted to buy one of these 9 cells.

Does anyone know anything on these? Are these a legit product?

I never buy anything over £20 from china. Chinese sellers are reserved for cables, cases and screen protectors
I got my 9 cell from a uk seller
    came in a few days

someone here bought a 7200mah 9 cell and it turned out to be a relabeled 6600mah 9 cell. he posted pics of his battery monitor, and it showed a designed capacity of 73260mwh (11.1v X 6600mah). i'm not sure most people will take the time to do this, so i think most people have no idea they didn't get what they paid for.

i dont' believe they are actually in canada, they are just using vstore.ca for their services. If you do a lookup on the phone number, I believe it is pointing to somewhere in the netherlands? Too bad, I would have jumped on it at that price.

All batteries no matter where you buy them are made in China, but there are differences in quality...
There are no UK or Canada made batteries ;)

Has anyone found a reliable USA source for the 6 cell replacement battery? Amazon has them for $105-$129, but I was thinking of something in the $65 area. EBay is all China etc. and worrisome. Thanks.

Re: 9 CELL Battery!? Designed capacity is merely a label!

You are probably refering to this post regarding the 7200mAh 9 cell battery:
    viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6730&p=52681&hilit=7200mah#p52681

I have similar battery with still larger capacity 7800mAh 9 cell battery with the same designed capacity:
    viewtopic.php?f=15&t=7331

They didn't turn out to be a 6600mAh batteries. You are absolutely correct, that it shows a designed capacity of such a battery, but designed capacity and true capacity e.g. full charged capacity are quite different things.

Designed capacity is just a label, something that has been programmed to say so. Fully charged capacity is the real deal, how long the battery lasts. I'm still in the process of conditioning the battery, when it gets to the true full capacity. At the moment the batterys capacity is approx 81Wh which exceeds the "designed" capacity by roughly 8Wh. I'm doing a follow up if it is going to reach the 86Wh, that it should have if you do the math 7800mAh x 11.v.
