My reason for wanting a dual boot system is because I love the nearly instant-on aspect of Linpus. If I want to get on the web fast, quickly check my email, or such, Linpus is perfect.

Alas, there are a few places where I prefer or need Windows.
Netflix -- I can only watch online movies in Windows because there is no Linux work-around.
Hamachi VPN -- Works in Linux, but is MUCH more user-friendly

The question is can I have my cake and eat it too? My wishlist is short:

    1) The Aspire should default boot to Linpus (almost) as quickly as a single-boot system.
In other words no OS selection screen during the boot phase.
Perhaps a "hold down key x during boot" causes Windows to load?
    2) I want to be able to share data between the Linpus and WIndows installs.

It appears that at least one bootloader "Smart Bootloader" does what I want. It has options to boot a particular OS by default between certain hours, or to only boot the non-default if a key is held during boot.
