Is it possible to boot the A110 from the sd card slot?

If so does it need a BIOS update?

    Thanks

As far as I know, it isn't possible normally. However I remember someone mentioning doing something with GRUB or whatnot to make it work; not sure as I'm not a Linux guy.

The problem is that the BIOS doesn't recognize an SD card in either slot as a bootable device. I've not come across a BIOS update with the required modification. I haven't tried it, but assuming you want to run Linux, you could put grub and a kernel with the driver for the SD slot built-in to the kernel on the SSD, and point grub to the SD card to load the rest of the OS.

What I have done is place my SD card in a USB reader and booted off it that way. Not elegant, not fast, but it does work.
