    Hi!

I own the Linux (Linpus) version of the AAO with 512MB RAM and the Samsung 8GB flash-disk.

It's been sitting in a drawer for about a year, since I have tried almost every distro including TinyXP etc on it. It was just too slow for everyday use, so I have been using my 14" laptop instead.

Got around to ordering some extra RAM so I have 1,5GB RAM and found a reasonably priced 64GB PATA/ZIF SSD http://www.shop4usb.co.uk/Data+Stor...55/INSSD64GP18MXZ/INSSD64GP18MXZ.1510481.html.

Now it is flying! Did run Windows 8 release preview on it, but as I don't fancy this much, I am now happily running the latest Linux Mint full version and it works fine out of the box. Snappy surfing and everything just works!

Had some small problems with the keyboard after opening it 4 times, but some pliers fixed that by bending the edges of the plate which snaps the keyboard to the deck.

Looking forward to a good time with my mini-laptop finally showing it's full potential! I have the 6-cell battery on it as well, so it stays on battery power for around 3-5 hours depending on use.

    Edit:
    Some extra info regarding speed:

    Samsung SSD (P-SSD 1800):
    30-35 MB/sec Read
    13 MB/sec Write

    Integral INSSD64GP18MXZ
    Read speed 65MB/s
    Write speed 30MB/s

I don't think these numbers gives it credit. It does not hang at all now, as it did a lot with the Samsung.

I also got these for connecting the new disk:

This is the RAM I bought:
