Hi there, before I go out and buy a replacement battery for my Acer Aspire One A150/ZG5 netbook I want to double check that my problem is actually just a dead battery. Basically, I cannot get ANY power from the battery what so ever even though there is a solid orange light coming from the battery indicator when charged. Also if it is any help my BIOS version is "0.3114" is this the latest BIOS available?

    Thanks!

I think I have the same problem. The weird thing is that sometimes it works, and other times it does not. Mostly, it does not work and I have to stay on the AC cable.

Try unplugging from AC charger and removing battery, then press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Then plug back into AC adapter and put battery back in and all should be well. It worked for me.

Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly, now I appear to have lost the AC charger altogether!!

I'm just not having any luck with this.

Do you mean physically lost the charger, as in you can't find it? or Do you mean that the AC charger is no longer functioning?

LOL! I physically lost the actuall AC charger. I had to buy a new one on eBay. I think I know the peroblem now. When I prlug in the AC adapter, the little orange light that indicates the battery condition does not come on, untly I wiggle the charger connection a bit. Then the light comes on. I think the problem appears to be the physical connector. So the Battery isn't dead, it just is not getting charged properly because of a faulty connection.
