    Hi,

Within minutes of using the a150x (Windows) for the first time, the left hand button on the trackpad has stopped working, the right hand button and tapping still work however. I've tried the F7 trick to no effect. Any ideas?

    thanks

i am having the same problem too after two months of use. after doing a bit of searching it seems like people have sent them back to acer and they have taken care of the problem. or- it looks like a few people have taken theirs apart and cleaned the contact pins on the pads ribbon cable.

can anyone confirm the success of the second option?

    cheers!

I repaired mine by pushing a miniture wedge into the ribbon connector to put extra pressure on it. I made the wedge out of a clarinet reed I bought at a music shop.

    TantalusFld-

thanks again. i cracked into my aao last night and opened the release to the pads ribbon cable and put in a small piece of thick paper doubled up and snapped the release back into place. the whole journey took maybe 15 minutes. pad is working well so far!

    thanks!
