AA0 Linux box system updating.

I have seen many threads about how updating the AAO causes many problems. I can only say that that my Linux box has no issues like this. I have not implemented Macles work around but just left Acer to sort the update issue out, which judging by Saturdays updates it has now done.

I bought it back in Nov 2008 and did a full critical system update, as per instructions. Since then I have changed the desktop and added new software I want to run . The last update was on the 31/1/2009.
1)180077 Communication suite.
2)180078 Storage manager.

The only thing I would add is that only critical updates + software updates that you use should be downloaded, don't just download everything available.

My only grip if you like is that I can not find a way of maximizing the update window, which means you have to scroll horizontally and vertically to find the updates that you want/need to download from those available.
Also as a foot note I am referring to a UK bought box as I as I am based in England and Switzerland.
