When I hit the red icon to shut down I get a partial shutdown. Everything seems to close but the desktop fades and the AA1 unit remains frozen. I have turn it off with the power button located on the upper right part of the keyboard.

Any ideas of why this is happening and what I can do to get a full shut down with having to use the poer on/off button. My unit is about a year old and I'm using Linpus and the SDD.

    I appreciate any assistance. GeorgeB

Re: AA1 does not shutdcown -- SOLVED

SOLVED!!! I went to Barnes & Noble and purchased a copy of the Linux Journal with the Fedora 11 Distro. I installed Fedora 11 on my 10Gb SDD and 4Gb SD and it works fast! Everything seems to work like the Webcam, wireless mouse & of course, the fan. I had to do some tweaking to get the DVD and CD player to work but I took care of that last night. It's nice to hit the power button and the unit shuts down. gB

Now to head on over to the Fedora boards.
