A few days ago I bought an AAO 150 which came with Linux.

I really didn't like it so i searched the net for a guide to installing another operating system. I installed Windows Vista Ultimate but a slim down version.
The only problem i had was the drivers for the LAN and WLAN but i found working drivers for those before i installed vista.

I ran a program called driver detective and apparently 25% of my drivers are either out of date or just wrong. I could pay 29.99 and they will fix it but i think thats a bit harsh..

    The drivers i need are....

    Standard VGA graphics adapter
mobile intel 945gm express chipset controller
    usb camera
    High definition audio device
    usb composite device

    Where can i get these.

    Thanks

go to Intel to get the graphics driver for the GMA950 and mobile intel chipset (945GSE).
Go to realtek to get the HD Audio driver
For your webcam, head over to Acer's website to get it, the XP one will work fine. It's hard to say since you could have either a lite-on or a suyin model. You should also get the driver for your card reader there as well.
For your touchpad, use synaptics touchpad driver from their site

Thanks for this info it helped allot in getting the drivers i needed.

The graphics driver made a real noticeable difference. Everything is in proportion with the screen size now and looks sharper and more colour intense.

    Regards
    Rob
