Sweet! Could you post some pictures of it with the 6-cell battery shown so we can see how the Onyx Black looks with the larger battery protruding? I'm waiting for that exact one to be available in the U.S.

    5 more pics for you.

Includes pics of the 6 Cell Battery.

One thing to note, these are macro shots, and so it appears that the battery may be a large eye sore, however; the 6 cell battery actually only protrudes about 0.75" (3/4").

nice. thats all i have to say. Although I did expect acer to make the battery not stick out in this version. But oh well, thats a tiny complaint for such a nice machine.

    Just finished the first test.

    I got ~ 4.5 hours. Almost exactly.

That was with Wifi On, Max Brightness for screen.
I was running Winamp, streaming music from my desktop.
And using MSN with the webcam on.

Next test will be a longevity test. I want to settings give me the longest battery life.

You actually have the white pci-e slot attached to the board under the expansion door? That is great news. Please share pics. Thanks again!

How far can you tilt the screen back before the expanded battery gets in the way.

A picture would be much appreciated.

can you tell what graphics chip is installed? acer web site lists x3100, but only for north america(us and canada).
i checked other countries web sites and they all had different chips listed.

Sorry guys, I've been working like crazy this past week, haven't had time to crack this thing open.

I have to move my main machine into a new case, so I will crack this AAO open tonight as well and get those pics for you guys.

    Any suggestions for benchmark apps?

Someone requested speed of the drive.

    Suggestions?
