I'm installing iatkos v7 via usb flash drive but it's not recognizing my hdd. I've removed my hdd and connected it to a usb enclosure and formatted it in osx itself on my imac. I've tried all the different types of formatting using disk utility. I believe i have a problem with the boot sector of the hdd. I even used win xp FIXBOOT and still it won't show up when i try to install osx. When i use the enclosure the hdd shows up in the installer but not when i place it back in the netbook. Please help anyone!

if you have an imac, then it might be just easier for you to use disk utility and format the hd using the enclosure, then popping in the dvd, and installing OSX to the hd while on ur mac.

i dont want to discourage you, but getting a hackintosh to work isnt for everybody, and it's not that easy sometimes.
