I have not made any mods to it and on the box it said 1GB of RAM

Also it says it has a dual core but the box says single core.

All Programs I install also say dual core and 1.48 GB of RAM

RAM: you must have 512MB on board and 1GB stick in expansion slot - that's 1.5GB

CPU is single core but supports HT = Hyper threading - suggest Wiki to get details...

So you have open AA1?? RAM expansion slot is not accessible unless you open netbook... If your system shows 1.5GB of RAM then I'm right because there is only one way of having that much RAM...

Is it a A150 with Windows, or with Linux ? Which Bios version is installed ? (press F2 during boot to enter the Bios setup, and report what version it is, and the amount of RAM installed according to the Bios).

AFAIR there was an older Bios version which misrepresented the amount of ram installed, and if the programs utilize OS functions that goes to the Bios for information about the amount of ram installed, they'd report 1.5 Gb.

Update the bios to at least version 3309, or 3310 if the manufacturing date of your AAO is later than March 2009.

If you disassemble and pull the motherboard, you will find a 1g memory stick in the memory slot. That is the only way to explain what memory is being reported.

I purchased a A150-Bb recently and have the same "problem". I was surprised to see that the PC was reporting 1.5Gb of memory without modding. I am download SiSoft Sandra to look at the hardware.

This is kind of off topic but, I didn't know there was a new bios out. I am running 3309, what does 3310 do or improve?

Oh, sorry I didn't read the "if the manufacturing date of your AAO is later than March 2009" part. Mine was before that and I'm not having any problems anyway.
