Winamp is a resource hungry program. I would advise uninstalling it and load the latest version of Windows Media Player. I use it in both my desktop and my AAO with no problems.

hey, this issue started to happen here as well.

i dunno why it happens yet, but after a full format, it started to happen as soon as i setup babylon pro translator.
something of this program seems to make nod32 work a lot.
i havent had the time to test whether it will work fine if nod32 is not present..

so, try to look for resource consuming apps.

After the introduction the garbage known as Windows Media Player 11, I went through the process of finding a good media player and also found WinAmp to be terrible.

The best free media player out today is the GOM Player. Very simple, very user friendly, and uses very little juice. It will play anything you want it to play including videos. I run this on my AAO almost constantly.

Here is the link to find out more: http://www.gomlab.com/eng/GMP_download.html

I hope this helps solve your problem.
