I know about the problem with the AAO SSD drive and windows but, is the problem with both the samsung and intel drives? or just the intel one?

    Thanks

Mine has got an Intel SSD and I have put WinXP on it. Do not have a problem with it speed wise, it runs the program I primarily bought it for no different to any other computer - on the otherhand its spec is the same as my laptop so if you are use to something faster/more memory then you might feel it to be slow.

Well it'sa common problem, you must be the exception to the rule.

Common in a sense that on heavy SSD writes, the AAO will stall.... but in everyday browsing, word processing, email. The SSD version is more than ok. I've used mine everyday, and I hardly notice any pause at all, and I'm using the slow intel SSD. That's because I use mine as a "netbook", and not as a desktop replacement. I have my main laptop and desktop PC's for my heavy work. And it will also depend on how you optimize XP for the AAO, tweak it properly and it performs very well. ;)

Thanks for the reply but i allready knew about optimizations etc, you didnt really anwer the question.

The question was does the freezing problem lie with both models of the SSD in the AAO or just the intel SSD.

    Thanks

Samsung model is a bit faster..... but not much. So the answer is YES, it's a problem to all the SSD model AAO. But you'll have marginally better performance on the Samsung SSD.
