I have decided that the AAO is the best netbook, and I'm planing to get one of the 160 GB 6-cell ones. But now I'm hearing more and more about this black screen of death. Is this a somewhat common problem or a vocal minority?

I am on my 2nd 120GB AAO (in the family) and I really don't know what these people are talking about. Go for it with full confidence and install XP (either pre installed or do it yourself and save some moolah).

Yeah if your buying the 6 cell battery version it should have a newer BIOS not the 3114 BIOS.
