    Hi,

At our workplace we have 2 120Gb HDD Aspire Ones.
One has a dead screen and the other a hardrive problem.

Would it be possible to swap the HDD from one machine to the other (to create one working machine)? If so how easy is this to do?

    Thanks

It is possible, just that you will need to disassemble more likely the whole entire AAO (ram upgrade disassemble) and then you'll find the access to HDD.

Once you get it torn down, it is just two more screws to get the hard drive out and back in. So easy, a caveman could do it...

There are no cables or anything like on an IDE HDD, it is a port fixed ontothe motherboard that the drive just pops in and out of. It is very simple...taking the machine apart is the hardest part, and it's not really hard to do, just involved. Clean workspace, ample light, and patience will get you done. Good luck!
