I am new to Acer Aspire and having an interesting learning curve - never used linux or 'terminal window' before so easy instructions if poss :?
I have an Acer aspire one running linpus lite.

In the course of exploring a problem I found the 'add and remove software' option - right click- system etc and went into it and accidently removed part of yum! There were two yum files i think and one is still there but can't access to see which i lost!

Now I don't have the option of 'add and remove software' at all

I didn't know yum was already installed and thought I had installed it in experimentation... anyway, know more now! Anyone able to step by step me through repair or reinstallation? I have used this url : http://www.wallpaperama.com/forums/...ing-on-linux-redhat-fedora-commands-t471.html and got as far as 'make' and 'make install' as root user but at this point get invalid command'
I'm wandering in the dark like a lost soul! Pls advise
