Sometimes, about one time in ten when I boot, the display on the screen is off Center to the left. The right side of the screen is dark.
If I restart the computer it sometimes is ok on the restart and sometimes not.
Sometimes it takes several restarts to boot up ok.

    Thanks,

I have solved this problem.. In the device manager the monitor was listed four times, so I uninstalled but one.

As an aside, I don't know how to delete a post.
Can anyone help me with this?

    Very Frustrating Off screen Trouble

I was wrong about my fix, it did not last. I thiught it had worked because the problem is so random. What i think works how ever is to not fullly open the lid when pressing the power on button. I only open it up enough to get my finger in to press the power buttion. After it fully starts up io fully open the lid. Have you found a fix for this problem.?

    Hi there,

This problem is caused because the video cable is loose or damaged. You have to open the computer and reconnect the cable. Make sure it's firm and that it doesn't get loose again if you open and close the lid. You can also put some tape on it to be sure.
