acer aspire 3690 laptop

hi all im very new to this forum so i hope my questions are ok as i need some help advice

my niece recently dropped her laptop and the screen went all funny (unable to read anything on the screen properly graphics crashed etc) so she went and bought a new laptop thinking that was the end of it...

2 weeks later the laptop was working perfectly again (very strange)

now the laptop screen has gone crazy again...

can anyone give me any help?? does anyone think it could be the inverter that is at fault here?? or any other advice to try and find the problem

2nd question is this....the internal fan should be running all the time??? am i correct?? if it should be it isnt....it starts running at boot up then after about 5 seconds it stops and im not sure if it starts again

since it was just purchased for not very long, you can turn to the acer after-service for help under the warranty.
to the second question,i do not think there is need to keep fan working all the time. it is needed when you have play ed the computer for a long time . or the working spped is obviously slow dowm.
wish it would be helpful.
