acer aspire 5742 screen issuse

    hi i have got a aspire 5742 and have got a screen issuse the sreen keeps freezing so the first thing i thought it was is its a wire or cable so i have got a new LED screen video flex cable i have fitted this cable and still it keeps freezing but if i press the screen and it starts to work again i dont want to buy a new screen untill i no what it is can any one help me

    from what i know the problem is not with the screen. my screen used to freeze a lot but that was after it got too hot but it stopped doing that. did you check to see you installed the cable properly? it's probably not all the way in.
