Acer Aspire 6920 not booting

    Hello

    I was installing Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 6920.

    It had Windows Vista installed. I deleted all the partitions including backup (Yes I found out that was stupid), and tried installing Windows 7.

    It wouldn install Windows 7 so I went back to Windows Vista. I found my recovery disk and it sort of worked. There where no errors in the setup but when I start my computer it doesnt go to Windows.

    It has a black screen with a white _ blinking.

    Any suggestions?

    i have just had the same problem with my acer aspire 6920
    SOLUTIONS:
    blank screen .change CMOS battery
    not booting i changed my hard rive fitter new one after i was convinced the old drive was ok it was not it also got hot, anyway fitted new hard rive $50AUS for a 320GB and it loaded windows fully no problem.

    In order to format a drive completely.

    Download a program called FDISK from www.freewarefiles.com it runs from a cd.

    if you have a full copy and not an update copy of windows 7 then this is the program to help.
