The 753 has the 4400 mAh 6 cell battery. AFAIK there are no 9 cell batteries available for this model.
You can get a 5800 mAh 6 cell battery instead. The 753 batteries are the same as the ones for the following models : Acer Aspire One 721, Aspire 1551, Aspire TimelineX 1830T, and Aspire TimelineX 1830TZ.

If you have a 6 cell 4400 mAh battery, and you only get 3.6 hrs out of it under Windows 7, there are two possibilities : Either the battery has a high wearlevel, thus not able to fully recharge to specified level of 4400 mAh, or you are running the laptop on battery, with the high performance power setting. Click the battery icon on the taskbar, and set it to either balanced or max battery.

As for the wearlevel on the battery, download the HWMonitor applet from http://www.cpuid.com, run it and check the wearlevel.
My 753 was delivered from the shop, with a battery that had 19 % wearlevel - unacceptable for a brandnew freshly purchased netbook, even at the low price I payed. One call to Acer support here in Denmark, and they sent me a new battery. They even told me to keep the original battery.

The original battery gave me a runtime of about 4 hours, and the new battery is giving me a runtime of about 5 hours. This is under Win7 x64 Ultimate (factory supplied Home Premium upgraded to Ultimate via the Windows Anyplace Upgrade)
I've installed Ubuntu 11.04 on the netbook as well, and after recompiling my kernel to my specs, I get 5 hours 20 minutes with the original battery, and about 6 hours 40 minutes with the new battery.

Mind you, I am running with 2x4GB ram in the netbook, thus the harddisk doesnt come into play much for common OS related operations - swapping etc. So if you are running with the default 2 GB memory, your runtimes will differ as well due to this.

    Dear DutchDK,
Thanks for your answer, but you have made a small mistake.
There is no such a 5800ma battery for 721 model. The battery is 5200ma.The one you talking about is 10.8V compare to 11.1V wich is used in this series.May be you overlooked the voltage.
    Thanks anyway.

No I didn't overlook the voltage. The TimelineX 1830t AL10D56 5800 mAh battery is 10.8 volt, while the TimelineX 1830t AL10C31 4400 mAh battery is 11.1 volts. Its a question of the Li-Ion cells voltage used to make the batterypack.
    AL10D56 : http://www.ok-shopping.co.uk/al10d56,ac ... ttery.html
    AL10C31 : http://www.ok-shopping.co.uk/al10c31,ac ... ttery.html

Since both the AL10D56 and the AL10C31 works to run a TimelineX 1830t, they will also both work to run a Aspire One 753, as the Aspire One 753 is the same as the TimelineX 1830t, just with the Arrandale Celeron CPU instead of the Arrandale Pentium or Arrandale i3 CPU's.

Anybody know where I can actually get a 5800 mah battery for the 753?? Tried these two:

    http://www.laptop-battery-shop.com/acer ... -3356.html

and: the Australian site of the same company and both told me they were sold out, or failed testing. Anyway, anybody know a good online merchant that sells these batteries for a price of around 80 US?

    Thanks so much.
