I guess this just shows how Linux is really the best platform to run on these netbooks. After making a slight modification to the desktop, I have a whole repository of free software available to me. I've installed smalltalk, lua, erlang. And I've got Lotus Notes installed under Wine, and installed Lotus Agenda in a DOS emulator. I can have all this running in 512 mb of ram. So cool...

    1. My drivers work well - by the way, they are not written by acer
    2. Windows XP works great on my A150 - even Vista runs great
    3. you're right, the SSD sucks (but only if you use Windows, if you use the shipped Linux it works great)

So the Acer works great in the way it is shipped by Acer - instead of the AAO most of your arguments are crap

    1. Driver problems are mostly not Acers fault. Mainly component vendors'.
    2. XP works like a charm on HDD Ones. On SSD XP is slow, which is because XP sucks, not the One.
2.1. Linux works like a charm with SSD. No problem with Xubuntu for example.
    3. The SSD could be faster. But what do you expect from a 300 € machine?
