    Hi,

I'm having trouble with my acer aspire one nav50, i seem to have lost the boot sector and cannot boot into windows.
I've tried booting from my windows CD using an external USB cd-rom but bios doesn't recognise it. I've also tried a new HD but cannot get the operating system on due to the CD-rom problem.

I've tried reflashing the bios by following the procedure (downloading latest version, putting in on a usb stick, renaming the bios file and holding fn + esc etc..) but this doesn't seem to work it won't actually instigate the bios flash it just keeps trying to boot. Any ideas ?

    Thanks
