Acer Aspire One runs slow when first booted

    After booting, my laptop runs slow because some process is accessing the hard drive 100% of time as indicated by the Task Manager. I am running Win 8 with all the latest updates. I have disabled all the virus software and the file indexing function but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    A quick way to check what boots up in start up is to use ccleaner TOOLS section in the tools section choose startup.
    You can choose to ENABLE,DISABLE OR DELETE
