Acer Aspire One wired connection problems.

    I recently purchased an Acer Aspire One notebook. The wireless connection work fine, however, whenever I attempt to hook up to a wired connection, I get nothing. No internet, nothing clarifying whether or not it recognizes the ethernet cable. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, is there a way to fix it?

    had this problem with about 6 of my new netbooks out of 190

    try taking the battery out, holding the power button down for 10 seconds and then replacing the battery and test
