Acer backup software--can external HD be used instead of CD?

    I recently got a 10" Aspire One, and am getting the nags to backup my system. I'd have done it already, but I don't have an external burner. I have several external hard drives and am even on a network that I could send files to--is backup to CD with the Acer software really the only option? Has anyone found any workaround to use the software to back up to a Hard Drive instead?

    If not I guess I'll probably investigate other backup options...simply have no need for an external burner on this machine with the exception of this one purpose.

    With the dual boot flash drive created from this thread,
    viewtopic.php?f=43&t=13518&p=85018#p85006

    You can back up to hard drive (Network?) with either Acronis True Image or Ghost.
