Acer Messenger Status

    Hi
    Can anyone tell me how to get the messenger on the Acer Aspire1 running Linus to show the correct presence status. I want to appear offline but no matter what I do I still appear online to others but offline to myself. I have done what it said in the help section but its still the same.

    Hi, I found recently that the messenger just refused to work and my Yahoo and msn became inoperable.
    Then I found this link and all is well. http://uk.webmessenger.yahoo.com/ You no longer need to use your link from the front page, just start from this browser address.
