Acer US prunes Aspire One mini laptop prices

    According the the UK Register website, prices are dropping.

    AA1 with an 8GB SSD, 512MB of memory and Linux pre-loaded will now cost $329US.

    AA1 with a 120GB HDD, 1GB of DDR 2 and Windows XP is now priced at $349US.

    Coming is a new AA1 Windows XP model fitted not only with a 160GB hard drive but also a six-cell battery, no price at this time.

    My local Circuit City has the Linux version on sale for $309... I am not sure if this is a local thing as their online site still shows $369.

    Interesting thing...

    My local Circuit City had the blue linux version on sale for $309, then today put the display unit on sale for $279, and said they were not getting any more... I find this *really* hard to believe.

    seems like a lot of vendors are unloading units with this configuration...i wonder why.
